Goodbye my Husband My Love and MY Best Friend, I always thought we would have so many more years together,I will miss you so much,
If you never got to know Roger,he was super intelligent. He taught me many new things and I hope, I gave him new and different adventures!!
Roger, could tell you about almost any plant, animal and how to do anything the old fashion way.
Our marriage gave my Daughters a wonderful Dad. They had long talks,He gave them advice many new interest and lots of Grandchildren and Great Son-in-laws.
When word came of Cancer,I knew You would be Healed and You were my Love,On May 20 2019 Heaven opened up and you were free of pain,I Love You and I miss You so much.YOUR GAYNIE

It sure seems that Roger enjoyed his retirement and extended family. For that we thankful and happy. When I think of Roger, I think 'old school'. In that I mean when he still worked as an engineer at the office, he was professional and meticulous; his hand-written notations and sketches were as good or better than the computer aided drafting results they were meant for.

I had the pleasure of working directly with Roger for the last phase of his career, right up to his retirement. We had similar interests and I was fortunate to learn from him in a number of ways. I enjoyed talking with him especially about his love and knowledge of botany, and also the turtles! Once I told him I had planted some 6” high Burning Bush seedlings and Roger wryly replied “Those don’t do well here...” Well, Roger, you should see them now....8’ tall and requiring pruning every year! He would be impressed, I know. We bought a 6’ living Piñon Pine for a Christmas tree one year. Roger rescued it from us after I asked if he wanted it. It does my heart good to know that Piñon is thriving somewhere due to Roger’s care and expertise....just like so many other plants, and relationships, he cultured.

Thank you for being such a wonderful person and all of the laughs. I miss you greatly and wish I could have at least said goodbye (or see you later). I’ll continue to think fondly of you when I see a cactus worth stealing or an awesome rare plant I know you’d be able to educate me on. Much love, Chelsea.

Until next time Roger. I’ll meet you in the presence of the Father and His Son. No more pain, worries, angst, and troubles, brother. See you later.
